WATCH VIDEO: Osimhen Loses Temper With Lookman Despite Super Eagles Dominance

Nigerian football fans have taken aim at Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen following his heated reaction toward teammate Ademola Lookman during Monday’s emphatic 4–0 win over Mozambique in the Africa Cup of Nations round of 16.

The Galatasaray forward was seen venting his frustration in the 63rd minute after Lookman failed to pick him out despite Osimhen being in a clear scoring position. Television footage showed Osimhen angrily confronting the Atalanta winger, gesturing and shouting after initially pulling away from captain Wilfred Ndidi.

The incident sparked debate among supporters, especially considering that Lookman had already been influential in the match. Prior to the outburst, he had created two clear chances for Osimhen — one resulting directly in a goal, while the other led to an opportunity finished by Akor Adams.

In the video clip, Osimhen could be heard speaking in pidgin, telling Lookman, “No try am again,” loosely translated as “don’t do that again.” The striker later requested to be substituted and was met with boos from sections of the crowd as Moses Simon replaced him.

The episode has since drawn criticism from fans, many of whom questioned Osimhen’s reaction despite Nigeria’s dominant performance on the night.
